As descendants of Sheffield Clarion members, we have inherited the majority of documents and photographs featured in this web site.

The originals of these douments and photos will be donated to the Sheffield Archive on completion of the website, where they will be preserved and available for viewing by future generations.

Whilst researching Sheffield Clarion Movement we have gained information from other sources including:

GRACE TEBBUT - a Sheffield Councillor and the city's first woman alderman. Grace and her husband, Frank, were amonst the many members who built the club house at Dore Moor and they became its first residential stewards. they also helped to run the public tea room at weekends.

HARRY BREARLEY - Sheffield's famous inventor of stainless steel, along with his wife, Helen Theresa, became substantial investors in the club house, buying 40 shares each.
